FAQ

What causes weight loss as we age?

How do you know if your bodyweight changes?

Weight loss happens when there is less muscle mass and more fat. This means that calories must be consumed at a rate greater than energy. Low activity levels are the most common cause for weight loss. You can also lose weight due to stress, illness, pregnancy, hormonal imbalances and certain medications. Weight gain occurs when there is more fat than muscle mass. It occurs when people consume more calories each day than they use. There are many reasons for this, including overeating and increased physical activity.

The main reason why our bodies lose weight is because we consume fewer calories than we burn. When we exercise regularly, we increase our metabolism rate which burns off more calories throughout the day. However, this doesn't mean that we'll necessarily get thinner; what matters is whether or not we're losing fat or gaining muscle. Weight loss is possible if you burn more calories than you consume. If we consume more calories that we burn, we are actually storing them in fat.

As we age, our ability to move around is slower and we are less mobile. We also tend have less food to eat than when our children were young. As a result, we gain weight. On the other hand, we have more muscle mass and look larger than we actually are.

If you don't weigh yourself every week, it's impossible to determine how much weight has been lost. There are many ways you can measure your weight. You can gauge your waist size, hips, hips, thighs and arms. Some prefer to use the bathroom scales, others prefer to use tape measures.

Track your progress by measuring your waistline and weighing yourself every week. You can also take photos of your self every few months to track how far you've come.

You can also find out how much you weigh by looking up your height and weight online. You'd likely weigh 180 pounds if you were 5'10 tall and 180 pounds if you were 180lbs.

Why should we have a healthy lifestyle to begin with?

Having a healthy lifestyle helps us live longer, happier lives. Healthy eating habits, regular exercise, healthy sleep habits, stress management, and good sleep habits can help to prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, and other serious diseases.

A healthy lifestyle will also improve our mental health by helping us cope better with everyday stresses. Having a healthy lifestyle will also boost our self confidence and help us look and feel younger.
